Nova Scotia Aviation Heritage Association

The Nova Scotia Aviation Heritage Association was struck as a result of common interests between Nova Scotia’s three aviation museums, and the wish to advocate for broader awareness of the upcoming Centennial of Powered Flight in Canada, as well as to promote the event among Nova Scotians, students and visitors to our province.  This association grew to include related industries and organizations, and a commitment to partnerships, cross-promotion of events and continued networking subsequently evolved.

The 2009 Centennial of Powered Flight is a launch point for a century of technological innovation, and the evolution of military and civil aviation programs and related industries.  Nova Scotia will have the eyes of the country on her in 2009, and is an opportunity for all to commemorate this chapter of our rich and diverse heritage.  We hope that this site will be a useful tool for you to explore the scope aviation heritage in Nova Scotia, learn about legacy projects and museums, milestones, the aviation industry in Nova Scotia and science education resources.
